Barta Öreg Király Dűlő Szamorodni 2015
2015 was a hot and dry year, allowing grapes to accumulate high levels of sugar by the time harvest was to start for Szamorodni-style wines, whose volumes, however, were rather low, as there was hardly any botrytisation in this vintage. Fermentation took place in 220-litre Zemplén oak barrels, followed by 18 months of ageing in 2nd-fill, 3rd-fill and 4th-fill oak before bottling. Pollen and acacia honey dominate the nose, complemented by white-flesh fruits, tangerine and a hint of grapefruit.
Acidity: 5.2 g/L
Residual sugar: 99 g/L
